Very helpful receptionist and warm welcome on arrival. Delightful room and well-equipped shower room. Very quiet and the arrangements for parking and ferrying to the airport were brilliant.
I think this was my 3rd visit, I find it very convenient & the staff are always friendly & helpful, I think Lorna was on when we arrived & she was more than helpful, the lady who does the breakfast is very helpful also & caters for the customer very well.
Excellent, convenient location for flying from Gatwick. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the return taxi transfer worked brilliantly.
The only (small) thing.....the T.V.reception,in the room, on all channels was apalling!!!
The staff where very freindly, and nothing was too much trouble for them, the hotel was very clean and the room we stayed in was very spacious and the bathroom was big, will defantly will stay there again if we have the oppertunity many thanks for a plesant stay
Booked this particular hotel because of location and price which included 15 days parking. Room was basic but clean and comfortable and met needs for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good as was taxi to and from airport. Would certainly use again
Limited and muddy car park
The prompt taxi to take me back to the airport. At the time of my booking (maybe still) the distance of the Hotel from Gatwick airport was given as 2 miles. The AA route finder gave it as 7.8 miles (hotel postcode to GTW south terminal).
Cold, extra heaters apparently in use in other rooms, (I used hair drier and hot water in drinks bottle to heat room and bed). In the morning, dark, all lights out in halls and breakfast room, all staff asleep (7.40 am), by the time I found light switches and tea/coffee (it was in a cupboard) I had no time to make myself breakfast. No cooked breakfast at weekends. Grabbed quick cuppa from my room just in time for taxi.
The service from the staff - the quality of the food - and the overnight accommodation were all extremely good and we would not hesitate to come again and recomment it to others.
I can see that the Waterhall might be attractive for a stay other than ours, especially if one were arriving by car. We arrived by train from London for an overnight stay in advance of an early morning flight from Gatwick. The taxi fare from the airport (17 GBP), return to the airport (10 GBP) and to and from the nearest place to get an evening meal (10 GBP) added 37 GBP to the cost of our one night. Had we know we would have booked ourselves into a nearby airport hotel.
I had to pay extra charge for paying with credit card that was not referred to on the website when booking.
the vhelpful owner. the parking facility and the warm room
Warm room , silence , nature surrounding , rich breakfast and obviously the black dog :)
Room was clean, airey and sufficient space.
Keypad on front door, which could be difficult to open. As a solo female I felt this was a bit worrying particularly as it is off the beaten track
Our room was very interesting and large. The linen was quality and clean in general.
Internet was weak signal in the room. The carpets in hallways a bit shabby and in need of a little upgrading.
very good service would use again. lovely setting good brekfast
Being in the open countryside so close to Gatwick airport. Warm, helpful, friendly greeting, convienient and efficient airport parking, good breakfast. Breakfast room looks onto a pretty copse of trees
The room very dated, bed not very comfprtable. The table and chairs in the front garden were in poor condition, need replacing, it would have been nice to sit down outside looking at the fields with a drink in the sun.
